The K-72 heavy-duty planetary concrete floor grinder combines a high-power 15 kW grinding platform, 700 mm working width and integrated dust collection in one industrial machine. 20 HP Heavy-Duty Grinding Power

A 20 HP / 15 kW three-phase grinding motor provides the power required for demanding concrete grinding and surface preparation. Combined with the machine’s 670 kg operating weight and adjustable grinding pressure, the high-output motor helps the K-72 work effectively on hard concrete, existing coatings and other challenging flooring surfaces.

The motor drives the planetary grinding system through a variable tool-speed range of 0 to 1,500 rpm, allowing operators to adapt machine performance to different diamond tools, floor conditions and stages of the grinding or polishing process.

700mm Four-Head Planetary Grinding System

The K-72 uses four 252 mm tool holders across a 700 mm working width, providing a wide grinding path for commercial and industrial floor preparation. Planetary movement creates multiple overlapping grinding paths, helping distribute tool contact across the working area for controlled and consistent surface treatment.

The four-head system can be used for concrete surface opening, floor grinding, coating removal, terrazzo restoration and progressive polishing when matched with the appropriate diamond tooling.

Integrated Grinding and Dust Extraction

Grinding and dust collection are integrated into the K-72 platform, reducing the need to manage a completely separate grinding and vacuum setup during suitable dry-grinding applications.

The 3 kW vacuum motor delivers up to 500 m³/h maximum airflow and works with a 3.2 m² conical filter. Dust generated around the grinding head can be collected during operation, helping keep the working area cleaner and reducing loose grinding dust around the machine.

Four-Position Adjustable Counterweight System

The integrated counterweight system offers four adjustable positions, allowing the operator to modify machine balance and the pressure applied at the grinding head.

Additional grinding pressure can be useful for aggressive surface opening, hard concrete and coating removal, while a more balanced configuration can provide greater control during general grinding and polishing. This flexibility allows one machine to handle different stages of floor preparation without relying on a fixed grinding-pressure setup.

Sealed Dustproof Planetary Grinding Head

Fine concrete dust is highly abrasive and can enter exposed mechanical components during extended dry grinding. The K-72 therefore uses a sealed dustproof planetary head designed to isolate important internal drive components from the grinding environment.

This enclosed structure is intended to reduce dust exposure inside the planetary drive and support reliability during repeated industrial floor preparation work.

Manual and Automatic Filter Cleaning

Accumulated concrete dust can restrict airflow as a grinding project progresses. The K-72 incorporates manual and automatic filter cleaning, allowing the dust extraction system to clean accumulated material from the filter surface and help restore airflow.

This is especially useful during continuous dry grinding and coating-removal projects where high dust loading can otherwise cause more frequent interruptions for filter maintenance.

Magnetic Quick-Change Tool Mounting

The redesigned frame incorporates a magnetic tool mounting structure intended to simplify installation and replacement of grinding tools. Contractors frequently move between aggressive grinding, coating removal, surface refinement and polishing stages, making fast tooling changes an important part of overall project productivity.

The K-72 can be matched with suitable diamond grinding segments, grinding discs and polishing tooling according to the floor material and required finish.

LED Work Lights

Integrated LED working lights improve visibility around the grinding area, particularly inside warehouses, workshops, parking structures and other indoor environments where general lighting may be limited.

Better visibility around the grinding path helps operators inspect the treated surface, identify areas requiring additional passes and monitor floor condition as work progresses.

Multi-Position Adjustable Handle

The new-generation handle provides multiple adjustment positions, allowing operators to select a working position appropriate for grinding, machine control and transportation.

Adjustability can also improve operator ergonomics during longer working periods by allowing the handle position to be adapted rather than requiring one fixed operating angle.

Cost-Effective Standard Control Configuration

The K-72 is deliberately configured as the standard heavy-duty version of Exceptional Grinder’s 700 mm planetary platform. It does not include the LCD display, laser width guide or wireless remote-control system found on the K-72X.
